Every woman regardless of age and size, wear a button-down shirt. Whether as a school uniform or as a work attire. And did you know that wearing one is actually a challenge too for some women? It’s because of the so-called and ever popular, gaping that happens in between the breasts on its highest curves. Well, just like in the picture.

The truth about this wardrobe malfunction is that, it’s either you wear a small size of shirt, or you wear the worn style of bra. Well  these two should work hand-in-hand to avoid having gaps. Here are tips you can follow to achieve a no-gape button-down shirt:

1. ALWAYS WEAR A SKIN TONE BRA. 

this is a general rule of dressing most especially when you plan to wear a white button-down shirt. Remember that white bra reflects underneath a white button-down shirt. And just in case, a gap may lead a peek to your bra, it won’t be that too obvious from afar.

2. WEAR A MINIMIZER BRA.

If you are a big-busted woman, it is best to wear a minimizer bra that  shapes the breasts and positions thema bit far from the center, to be able to fit well in the button-down shirt and to avoid having gaps. Remember, the bigger the boobs, the bigger the gaps will appear.

3. AVOID PUSH-UP BRA AND PADDED BRA.

The same thing with having a big bust,with wearing too bulky brassieres. Push-up bras and padded bras will just add volume on your boobs and will definitely make your button-down shirt fit tight and accumulate gaps. So to avoid this, choose demi-cup bras, non-padded bras, or balcony bras.

4. WEAR A CAMISOLE

If all else fail, wear camisole underneath and unbutton the first 3 buttons of your shirt to make the look a bit more pleasing. You can also wear, tank shapers with bra if you don’t feel like wearing a bra and a camisole layering. You may try Vedette Shapewear‘s INES or LEA tank shapers.

ALICIA KEYS just like Adele, she wore an LBD too at Grammy’s only that hers is a bit shorter,it’s a creation of Alexandre Vaulthier. We just love how it hugs her curves and the length is just right that made her thighs and legs look leaner. HILLARY SCOTT added a twist on her black dress. It’s a combination of black and purple hue by Monique Lhuillher.
